IAA Parent/Carer Toddler Group

The IAA Parent/Carer Toddler Group ran for six weeks every Monday  10am - 11.30am until 30 March 2015, but sadly there wasn't enough demand to make it viable. If anyone is interested in a Parent/Carer Toddler Group, do contact us info@ivychurch.org.uk . We have a lot of toys and equipment available for a parent / carer toddler group.

Ivychurch Art Show 2014

Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October 2014: 11am - 5pm : Ivychurch Art Show - Paintings and photographs by local artists. We're  holding an Art Exhibition in the Village Hall to coincide with the Art in Romney Marsh www.artinromneymarsh.org.uk  (AiRM) displays in St Georges church.
Free entry, light refreshments available.

A large dose of magic from international magician John Linehan. John has been entertaining adults & children for many years in the UK & overseas. He specialises in close-up magic where guests join him in making the inexplicable happen! He will be working his magic round the tables in between courses.

Served with choice of hot meal  including a vegetarian option. (Full food details to be listed shortly) Bring a bottle!

HeartStart: Free First Aid Course at Ivychurch Village Hall 16th July & 29th July 2014

September 2014: If anyone is interested in attending a Heartstart course et us know and if we have six people then we can arrange a course.

Heartstart training courses are free and only take two hours. The course is suitable for ages ten and over and covers a range of Emergency Life Support Skills (ELS) including:
 dealing with an unconscious casualty
 cardiac arrest
 suspected heart attack
 choking
 serious bleeding
Two free courses are available at Ivychurch Village Hall: 7.30pm on Wednesday 16th July and 7.30pm Tuesday 29th July 2014

Want to know what to do in a medical emergency? There's still three places left on The British Heart Foundation free Heartstart First Aid training courses at Ivychurch Village Hall. The course is free to attend, and only takes two hours. Ivychurch Amenities Association have booked the course to take place at Ivychurch Village Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday 29th July 2014. the first course last week was fully booked, and very worthwhile.The course is suitable for ages ten and over and covers a range of Emergency Life Support Skills (ELS) including: dealing with an unconscious casualty  cardiac arrest  suspected heart attack  choking  serious bleedingThree spaces are left, to book your free place, please email or ring 01797 344277 with your name and contact details, certificates will be provided.

Ivychurch Art Club - Are you interested?

John Hoffman contacted us with news of the art club he is intending to start in the village hall. John says :-
Is there anybody on here interested in an art club / lessons I am thinking of starting in Ivychurch? Regular meets once or twice a month on a Saturday or Sunday evening or afternoon, to be finalised.
No need to be able to draw or paint as this is what the club is for.
Also there will be life drawing in some of these meetings.

Art Show Update.

We had a great weekend at the Ivychurch art show, we had three artists exhibiting, and raised £71 for the IAA from the sale of tea and cakes. With a steady flow of visitors we'll definitely repeat the art show in 2014.
